U pdate the driver from device manager and browse to the xonar software folder, it should install the driver. That would be just too horrible to contemplate, and you should be glad it's not working. On re-reading the thread title, I hope you don't mean you're trying to record the audio output of an onboard wavetable synth being driven by MIDI. The drivers from ASUS have a hard version check and will not install.

The DGX Audio Center picks up the sound from the game as soon as it crashes and repeats it over and over again. EAX effects work under Vista with ALchemy software - available from Creative downloads website for a year now.
